Jean Patou Joy Perfume

Jean Patou was a world-renowned French designer famous for the cube sweaters he created before. The "House of Patou", which he founded, decided to extend their products by creating the Jean Patou Joy Perfume. Other famous designers who have worked in the House of Patou include Jean Kerlo and Karl Lagerfeld. These designers went on to create and produce other fragrances under the House of Patou label. When the famous designer died, his sister and brother-in-law continued running the House of Patou. In 2001,it was sold to the Procter & Gamble Company. Ever since then we have been able to enjoy more Jean Patou Joy perfume, as there followed a significant drop in price.

The most common reaction to Jean Patou's Joy fragrance was that it did not make such an impression, unlike other perfumes wherein one whiff drives your senses wild. It smelled good for what it is, but it did not cause an adrenalin rush. It might have been a wonder why Jackie O loved the perfume. But try smelling it again and this time, clear your mind and banish all expectations. The classic and sophisticated aroma of a gorgeous but conservative woman would soon dawn on you. Here it was simple and balanced traits that are quite difficult to achieve when it comes to fragrances. Just like a well-tailored suit, it flattered and adapted in all the right places.

The creator of Joy, Henri Almeras, was asked by Jean Patou to create an extravagant fragrance that would lift spirits up despite the dark mood that the Great Depression created. This gave Almeras the concept of creating a positive scent that did not come on too strongly. Soon, Jean Patou Joy perfume was created with 28 dozen roses and 10,600 jasmines worth of fragrance in every ounce. The beautiful emerald cut bottle was designed by an architect named Louis Se.

In a sea of intensely-scented perfumes, Joy was definitely a breather. It creates a light-hearted mood that surrounds you with authentic happiness and a calm disposition. The rose and jasmine notes make it every inch a womanly scent. Its floral essence makes it such easy cologne to wear. Unlike other perfumes, you do not have to be dressed extravagantly to achieve extravagance. Joy makes you feel and smell extravagant. It may not stir sexual desires but it demands respect and love, and of course, happiness.

The Jean Patou Joy perfume's top notes include aldehydes, peach, and a little hint of a leafy green scent. Its main notes, of course, include rose, jasmine, ylang ylang, as well as tuberose. The base notes are sandalwood, musk, and civet. So if you are one of those people who have not appreciated Joy the first time you experienced it, it is high time to give it another try. You might just experience joy and calmness like you never experienced before.
