Rose Scented Perfume
There are many reasons that a person might decide to make their own Rose Scented Perfume. First and foremost, perfume is pricy. Secondly, you have limited choices. You have to choose from one of the perfumes for sale, but sometimes none of them are quite what you want. Making it yourself allows you to truly make the perfume that you want it to be. Also, making perfume is fun, and it can also be a relaxing way to relieve stress. Lastly, the best gifts are the ones you make with your own hands. When you give a gift that you made, it is far more special than one you bought at a store.
The first step in making rose scented perfume is choosing the right bottle. Consider who you're making the perfume for, and choose a bottle that would appeal to them. Some people prefer tinted or frosted bottles, while others prefer bottles that feature unique designs. You can even use a roll-on bottle for those who prefer roll-on style perfume. The rule of thumb, no matter what style bottle you choose, is to make sure you're bottle has character. You can find bottles at relatively low prices online, or you can also try yard sales or your local flea market. Sometimes you can find bottles there at extremely good prices.
Once you have the bottles, it's time to make your rose scented perfume. For stronger perfumes, you'll want to use almond oil and vodka. First, you should place rose petals and almond oil (two cups of each) into a bowl. Take your time and crush the petals very well while mixing the petals and oil. Once done, this mixture needs to sit overnight. Afterwards, use a colander to separate the petals from the oil. Now it's time for the vodka. In a new, clean bowl, mix two and a half teaspoons of vodka along with about eight drops of the oil you made. Don't use more than eight or your rose scented perfume may be too strong. Next, add distilled water (about half a cup) and three drops of vanilla oil. Now thoroughly mix all the ingredients together, and then you'll be ready to pour it into your bottles.
If you want to make a lighter rose scented perfume, you can just use bottled water, with hazel, and glycerin. Simply take the same two cups of fresh rose petals and a one liter bottle of water and combine them in a saucepan. Heat this mixture on a high setting. Remove it from the stove just before the water is about to boil, and turn off the stove. Again, separate the petals from the liquid. Pour it into a small bowl or a cup and add the witch hazel (about two thirds of a cup) and six drops of the glycerin. Mix it thoroughly. Then all you need to do is pour it into the bottle you chose for your perfume and make sure you close the lid. There you have it, you got yourself your own rose scented perfume!
